Father’s Day BBQ Menu
Trying to figure out a way to spoil Dad this Father’s Day? A delicious meal made with love is always a great option. We have put together a menu of dishes that we think Dad will love. We have included some great appetizers, bacon loaded salads, BBQ mains and simple side dishes.
When it comes to bite sized appetizers, we guarantee that Dad will love these two recipes. The Sticky Honey & Ginger Wings are coated in the most delicious sauce and can be made a day in advance and quickly reheated before serving. For something a bit different try the Jalapeño Stuffed Bacon Wrapped Shrimp, they are the perfect combination of spicy and salty and are surprisingly easy to make.
This Hot & Creamy Cauliflower Dip is one of my Dads favourite dips, and I’m sure your Dad will feel the same way. It’s packed with chunks of tender roasted cauliflower with is smothered in a creamy garlic packed sauce and then baked until bubbling hot. For something a bit spicy these Butternut Squash Tots are so tasty! They are oven baked and you can make them a day or two ahead and reheat them before serving.
Bacon makes every salad better for Fathers Day! The BLT Cauliflower Salad with Ranch is a healthy low carb salad that’s loaded with avocado, bacon, tomatoes and red onion which is all smothered in a creamy dairy free ranch dressing. For something lighter this Wedge Salad takes just minutes to make and is refreshing and perfect for a hot day.
If Dad likes steak he will love this Chimichurri Steak Salad which is a great option for a light lunch. The steak is grilled along with asparagus and onions and then tossed in a tangy Chimichurri sauce. For a tasty side salad this Crunchy Bacon & Broccoli Salad is loaded with veggies, plus crunchy bacon and sunflower seeds that are all smothered in a creamy orange dressing. You can prep the salad a day ahead and quickly toss in the dressing before serving.
If Dad is a fan of slow cooked meat then he will love both of these ridiculously tasty dishes. The Pulled Brisket Sliders are made in the slow cooker and served on grilled butternut squash so you can pick them up and eat them with your hands. The Slow Cooker BBQ Ribs are cooked in the slow cooker until fall apart tender and slathered in a delicious homemade BBQ sauce.
These Spice Rubbed Chicken Drumsticks are oven backed a coated in a rich blend of spices making this an easy to make dish that requires just a few minutes of hands on prep. For something a bit more unique, Dad would love these Tandoori Chicken Burgers. The patties are loaded with tandoori spices, grilled and then served in a lettuce bun with creamy cilantro sauce and refreshing cucumber slices.
Green Beans wrapped in bacon are a Father’s Day must! The beans can be wrapped in bacon a day ahead and quickly baked before serving. This Asian Grilled Eggplant works as both a salad and side dish and can be served warm or at room temperature.
This Charred Asparagus is an easy to prepare side dish that goes with just about anything. For something a bit spicier serve Padron Peppers which are quickly pan seared and are fantastic served with a cold beer.
For a light and refreshing dessert Dad will love this Pina Colada Ice Cream which is made with just a few ingredients and tastes just like the creamy cocktail. These Nut Butter & Banana Ice Cream Sandwiches can be made a few days in advance and stored in the freezer until ready to serve.
If Dad is a fan of banana bread then he will love this fancy spin on banana bread which is made in a cast iron skillet and topped with sweet caramelized bananas. If he likes coffee this Coffee Granita is a must. The Coffee Granita is incredibly refreshing and topped with creamy coconut whipped cream.
