Grilled bread takes just minutes to make and seems impressive but truly couldn't be any easier to prepare. All you need is a barbecue and a tube of pizza dough to make the most delicious flatbread with slightly charred edges.
In a small bowl whisk together the olive oil, salt, garlic powder, black pepper and italian seasoning.
Unroll the pizza dough from the tube and then cut it in half lengthwise and then in half widthwise which will result in 4 roughly equal sized rectangles.
Place each of the 4 pieces of dough on the barbecue, ensuring that they are laid out flat and at least 2 inches apart from one another.
Brush the top of each piece of dough with some of the oil mixture. Close the bbq lid and leave to cook for approx 5 minutes until the underside of the bread is golden brown in color and grill marks form. If the bread is stuck to the grill, leave it to cook a little longer.
Flip the bread and brush the topside of each in more oil of the oil mixture. Leave to cook for an additional 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
