Ingredients
2frozen puff pastry sheets - thawed
8-10slicesof thinly sliced hamblack forest or honey ham
8ozgruyere cheesegrated
2tbspdijon mustard
2tbsphoney
1egg
1tbspwhole milk
1tbspeverything bagel seasoning
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees fahrenheit and line a sheet pan with parchment paper
In a small bowl whisk together the egg and milk.
On a floured surface, gently roll the puff pastry sheets out using a rolling pin. Cut into squares approximately 4 ¼ inches in size. Transfer the squares to the sheet pan.
In a small bowl stir together the dijon mustard and honey. Generously brush the puff pastry squares with the honey mustard.
Fold a slice of ham in half and place it vertically across each square and then top with 1-2 tbsp of grated gruyere. Repeat with the remaining squares.
To assemble, lift one corner of the puff pastry rectangle and place it over the ham and cheese. Brush a bit of the egg wash on top of the puff pastry and then pull the opposite corner of the puff pastry and place it on top of the other piece to seal. Repeat with the other squares
Generously brush the outside of the squares with the egg wash and then liberally season with everything bagel seasoning
Transfer to the oven to bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown in color. Allow to cool before serving with additional honey mustard sauce on the side to drizzle overtop if desired.
