Artichoke Dip

This is truly the easiest dip recipe ever, and it’s been a favorite of mine since high school. A friend used to make this artichoke dip regularly for parties, and it was always the first thing to disappear. Since then, it’s become my go-to recipe whenever I need a quick, crowd-pleasing appetizer with minimal ingredients and little prep time. Whether you’re hosting a Super Bowl party, bringing something to a potluck, or just craving a cozy snack, this delicious dip always hits the spot. Ingredients

Ingredients You Will Need:

  • Mayonnaise: You can use store-bought mayo or make homemade mayo; it’s super simple to make.
  • Artichoke hearts: I use a can of artichoke hearts for this, but you can use fresh artichokes if you want to steam them up!
  • Finely mince the cloves of garlic or use a garlic press for nice, fine pieces to release the full flavor. You can also use garlic powder.
  • Lemon Juice: I love to use fresh lemon juice, but you can use store-bought 100% lemon juice.
  • Parmesan Cheese: Freshly grated Parmesan cheese is what I love to use, but pre-grated Parmesan works great, too.

Kitchen Tools You Will Need:

  • Cutting Board
  • Sharp Knife
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Wooden Spoon
  • Baking Dish

Baking The DIp

All ovens are different, so bake until golden and bubbly: Watch for that golden-brown crust around the edges, it’s a sign your dip has reached peak creaminess inside.

How to Make This Artichoke Dip:

  1. Preheat the oven. Drain the artichoke hearts and roughly chop them.
  2. Add the artichoke hearts to a bowl along with the remaining ingredients and mix well.
  3. Transfer the mixture to an oven-safe dish and bake until the dip is bubbling and hot. Serve warm and watch it disappear.
How to make it

How to Modify:

  • Use jarred marinated artichoke hearts for a fun spin on the flavor.
  • Add fresh spinach for an easy spinach artichoke dip recipe.
  • If you aren’t a fan of mayo, use Greek yogurt or sour cream.
  • Add red pepper flakes to give it a spicy kick.
  • Want a protein kick? Add chicken, ground sausage, shrimp, or crab meat.

Dietary Customizations:

  • Dairy-Free: Use dairy-free Parmesan cheese or swap it for nutritional yeast.

Common Questions:

What about leftovers?

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F until warmed through, or microwave in short intervals, stirring occasionally so it heats evenly.

Can I make this dip ahead of time?

Yes! You can prepare the dip up to 2–3 days in advance. Store it covered in the fridge, then bake or heat it just before serving.

What if I don’t want to use the oven?

You can also warm this dip in a skillet on the stovetop, in the microwave or in a slow cooker on low until hot and bubbly.

How long can it sit out at a party?

For food safety, it’s best to keep it out for no longer than 2 hours at room temperature. To keep it warm, use a small crockpot to maintain the temperature.

Can I add protein?

Definitely! Mix in shredded chicken, crab meat, shrimp, or even cooked sausage for extra heartiness.
